Global technology giant Apple Inc. is reportedly in advanced discussions with several leading Indian banks to introduce Apple Pay in India by mid-2026. The move, if finalized, would mark Apple’s formal entry into one of the world’s most competitive and rapidly evolving digital payments markets.
According to industry sources cited in recent reports, Apple has initiated exploratory conversations with private and public sector banks to assess regulatory alignment, technical feasibility, and integration pathways with India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
