In a significant development for India’s consumer startup ecosystem, Mumbai-based venture capital firm Sauce.vc has announced the closure of its ₹750 crore fund, reinforcing its commitment to backing high-performing brands within its existing portfolio. The fund signals a strategic shift from broad-based early bets to concentrated capital deployment in startups that have demonstrated product-market fit and scalable unit economics.
The newly closed fund is expected to primarily support follow-on investments, enabling select portfolio companies to accelerate growth, expand distribution, strengthen supply chains, and deepen brand penetration across urban and emerging markets.
