India’s Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is currently reviewing a high-profile satellite communications application from Amazon Kuiper Services India Pvt. Ltd., even as it has formally rejected similar licence requests from Tata Group’s Nelco Ltd and Hiranandani Group’s Yotta Network Services Pvt. Ltd. for providing space-based broadband services in the country, government officials confirmed this week.
