In a strong show of confidence from global and domestic investors, Blume Ventures, one of India’s most prominent early-stage venture capital firms, has announced the first close of its fifth fund at $175 million (around INR 1,460 crore). The Mumbai-based VC firm, known for backing category-defining startups such as Purplle, Unacademy, Spinny, and Slice, is targeting a total corpus of $250 million for Fund V, which will make it Blume’s largest fund to date.
