A fresh push to bring clarity to India’s cryptocurrency ecosystem has emerged from Parliament, with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha urging the Union government to legalise and regulate Virtual Digital Assets (VDAs).
Raising the issue in the Upper House, Chadha argued that India cannot afford to remain in regulatory limbo while global economies race ahead in digital asset innovation. He stressed that instead of treating VDAs solely as speculative instruments, policymakers should view them as a transformative financial and technological opportunity.
