From Banker to Beauty Boss: An Unlikely Transition
Falguni Nayar’s story begins in Mumbai, in a Gujarati business family where dinner-table conversations revolved around profits and planning. After completing her MBA from IIM Ahmedabad in 1985, she joined Kotak Mahindra Bank and spent over two decades climbing the corporate ladder. Eventually, she became the Managing Director of Kotak Investment Banking, handling some of India’s biggest IPOs.
